Helping startup founders build & scale engineering teams with the technical confidence to match their vision
Fractional Product Engineer / CTO / Technical Due Diligence at Andreassen Technologies

Areas of expertise

I help startup founders move from technical uncertainty to a clear, confident engineering foundation they can build on.

  • No technical roadmap to match the founders vision for the product
  • Uncertainty about when and how to make the first engineering hires
  • Early teams that grow without structure, slowing everything down
  • A gap between what the business needs and what the technology can deliver
  • No trusted technical voice in the room when key decisions are being made

I come in, assess where things stand, and put the right people, plans, and foundations in place to get the technology keeping pace with the ambition.

About Me

I am a Fractional Product Engineer and CTO who helps startup founders build and scale their first engineering teams.

I work with companies at every stage - from bootstrapped businesses doing 2m ARR to YC-backed startups with millions in funding.

Founders come to me with a technical vision and no clear path to execute it. I change that. You leave with a concrete engineering plan, the right team structure, and the confidence that your tech can actually match your ambitions.

My background gives me a founder's perspective - I went through Entrepreneurs First as a founder myself, and led the growth engineering team at Ready Player Me prior to their acquisition by Netflix.

I have been on both sides of the table, and I bring that experience directly to the founders I work with.

Common Questions

I help startup founders who lack a technical background navigate the challenge of building and scaling engineering teams. This includes hiring the right first engineers, structuring your technical org, and making sure your tech stack and roadmap can actually support the company you're trying to build.

This is a good fit for non-technical or semi-technical founders who are early in building their engineering function, or who feel like their technical execution isn't keeping pace with their business ambitions.

You'll come away with a clear technical hiring plan, confidence in the decisions you're making around your engineering team, and a roadmap that aligns your tech with your business vision.

We get clear on where you are today, what's blocking you technically, and whether the problem is one I can help you solve. I'll give you my honest read on the situation, even if that means telling you something you don't want to hear.

It depends on the stage and the problem. Some founders need a thinking partner to pressure-test their technical hires and decisions. Others need more hands-on help building out a full engineering hiring and scaling strategy. I've worked with everything from bootstrapped companies to YC-backed startups, so I adapt to what the situation actually calls for.
