Welcome to Consult Now. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Consult Now. Please read them carefully.

2. Description of Service

Consult Now is an online platform that connects consultants and experts ("Consultants") with individuals and businesses seeking consultation services ("Clients"). We provide tools for:

  • Profile creation and management for Consultants
  • Session booking and scheduling
  • Calendar integration and availability management
  • Payment processing
  • Communication between Consultants and Clients

Consult Now acts as a platform facilitator and is not a party to the consulting agreements between Consultants and Clients.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. When you make a booking through the Consult Now platform without an existing account, an account will be automatically created for you using the details provided at the time of booking. You will receive an email with instructions to set your password and access your account. By completing a booking, you agree to the creation of an account on your behalf and to these Terms.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information
  • Keep your password confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
3.2 Account Types

Consultant Accounts: Individuals offering professional services must accurately represent their qualifications, experience, and expertise.

Client Accounts: Individuals or businesses seeking consultation services.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

4. Booking and Sessions

4.1 Booking Process

Clients may book sessions with Consultants through our platform. Bookings are subject to:

  • Consultant availability
  • Successful payment processing
  • Consultant acceptance (if applicable)
4.2 Session Delivery

Sessions may be conducted via video call, phone, or other agreed methods. Consultants are responsible for delivering services as described in their profiles.

4.3 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation policies are set by individual Consultants and displayed on their profiles. Please review these policies before booking. Consult Now is not responsible for disputes arising from cancellations.

5. Payments and Fees

5.1 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe). By making a payment, you agree to their terms of service.

5.2 Platform Fees

Consult Now charges service fees for using the platform. Current fee structures are available in your account settings or upon request.

5.3 Refunds

Refund policies are determined by individual Consultants. Consult Now may facilitate refunds in cases of:

  • Technical failures preventing session delivery
  • Consultant no-shows without notice
  • Disputes resolved in Client's favor

6. Consultant Responsibilities

Consultants agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about qualifications and services
  • Deliver sessions professionally and punctually
  • Maintain appropriate professional conduct
  • Comply with applicable laws and professional regulations
  • Handle Client information confidentially
  • Not provide advice outside their area of expertise

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when booking
  • Attend booked sessions on time
  • Treat Consultants with respect
  • Make payments as agreed
  • Not record sessions without explicit consent

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
  • Attempt to circumvent platform fees
  • Use the platform for fraudulent purposes
  • Scrape or harvest data from the platform
  • Interfere with platform security or functionality
  • Create fake accounts or impersonate others

9. Intellectual Property

The Consult Now platform, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.

Users retain ownership of content they create (profiles, session materials). By posting content, you grant Consult Now a license to display and distribute it as necessary for platform operation.

10. Third-Party Integrations

Our platform integrates with third-party services including:

  • Google Calendar: For scheduling and availability management
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • LinkedIn: For profile import (optional)

Use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or changes.

11. Disclaimers

Platform Role: Consult Now is a platform connecting Consultants and Clients. We do not employ Consultants or guarantee the quality of their services.

Professional Advice: Information provided by Consultants is not a substitute for licensed professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.). Users should seek appropriate licensed professionals for such matters.

No Warranty: The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Consult Now shall not be liable for:

  • Actions or advice of Consultants
  • Disputes between Consultants and Clients
  • Loss of data or business interruption
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to Consult Now in the 12 months preceding any claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Consult Now, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of third-party rights
  • Content you submit to the platform

14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute:

  1. Contact Us: First, contact our support team to resolve issues informally
  2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails, parties agree to attempt mediation
  3. Arbitration: Disputes not resolved through mediation may be settled by binding arbitration

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through:

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
